I first came about blogging when I was on maternity leave with Moley 6 years ago. I started a children’s craft blog as a way to keep me in the swing of things until I could go back to working in a nursery. Funny how things change, I ended up Childminding and the blog now named Playful Learners went from strength to strength.
Playful Learners became a blog where I would share the activities I do with the children I cared for as well as my three beautiful children. Within a couple of years I was able to work with some fantastic brands from Stokke to Fisher Price and even products to use in my home setting. It didn’t happen over night and I know how lucky I am for these opportunity but I have worked damn hard for it.
But best of all I made some wonderful friends, these friends are special as they get the blogging game and why I’m willing to spend hours on line building a site for others to read. Over the years we have supported each other through some terrible times and I think that’s why we have stuck together for so long.
So although I have yet to realise a book or become a successful enough blogger to talk at conferences about my experience, I could still have all this to come. However it’s worth remembering the reason you started blogging in the first place and for me Bessie Club is all about finding myself and spending time looking after me.
So what I guess I’m trying to say is blogging opened up so many opportunities for me to make great friends, work with fantastic brands and lead me into beauty and lifestyle blogging.
